Plum Lucky

Last Saturday I went to a book fair and picked up a really funny book by Janet Evanovich call Plum Lucky. It's part of the Stephanie Plum book series. It's not actually in the series though, it's called "a between-the-numbers novel". That's the book cover's words not mine. I read one of the books in her series, 13 or 14, and I liked it but not enough to start reading the series. I saw the book at the fair and decided to give it a try since it was only $1.
In case you don't know anything about the series I'll give a quick little outline. Stephanie Plum, the main character is a bounty hunter that gets herself into some crazy situations. She has a "little" side-kick named Lula who is wild enough to be the star of her own series. Throw in some interesting love interests, (I'll be honest, I'm not really sure who is love interest and who's not cause they all seem interested), a crazy family, and you've got yourself a great little series.
Evanovich has a real knack for making crazy character and kooky situations seem plausible. Well, maybe not plausible, but at the very least her writing makes you to keep reading to find out what will happen next.
The book is a short read but none-the-less, the plot is fast paced and exciting and the characters will keep you laughing throughout the entire thing.
